TMNT geocaching

In the North part of Taoyuan, on a cold and rainy 25th day of December, Taoyuan was waking up to celebrate a very Merry Christmas but the evil Shredder and his followers, the Foot Clan, were wreaking havoc upon all the geocaches placed throughout Taiwan. Geocachers were posting DNFs like never before and everyone was starting to think that Shredder and his clan were behind this and had somehow stolen all the caches and placed them in his secret lair. How were the Geocachers of Taiwan, especially Taoyuan, going to reclaim all those caches that had mysteriously gone missing? How could the Geocachers go out into Mother Nature and enjoy life if there weren't any more caches left? Could there be anyone that could come to the rescue and bring back the lifeline of Taiwan?


Below the surface of the busy streets lived some very unique creatures — turtles that were once exposed to an ooze of sorts—ooze that no human, zilch, zero, none, knew about but magically, or rather serendipitously, made its way into the sewers of Taoyuan, transforming a few select turtles into masters of martial arts. Leonard, the leader, was skilled with the kitana. Michelangelo, the party animal, was skilled with the nunchakus. Raphael, the "too-cool-for-school" turtle, was skilled with the sai. And Donatella, the brainy turtle of the clan, was skilled with the bo. They were the only hope for the Geocachers and all their geocaches, and the creatures who could bring back the life to Taiwan.


So, on the morning of Christmas Day, their one and only leader, Splinter, gathered them to tell them of the evil that Shredder and the Foot Clan were up to.


"My sons, I gather you here today to tell you of an evil that lurks above in the city of Taoyuan. The forgotten leader of the underground — Shredder — and his followers, the Foot Clan, have stolen all the geocaches around Taoyuan and are quickly moving to other parts of Taiwan. If we don't stop them, I am afraid that our game will forever be lost in the hands of these monsters and no one will go out again into Mother Nature to explore."


"Dude. This totally sucks!" Michelangelo quickly responds in anger.


"Guys, you heard Splinter. We must act fast and stop the Shredder and his followers!" Leonardo replies.


"My sons, listen," Splinter goes on to say, "we must not act without plan. We must choose our attack wisely and show no mercy upon those that wish to destroy our lifeline, our blood, our everything —Geocaching."


"You guys! Can't you see it?! Shredder is stealing our caches! First caches, then what's next, pizza?!" Raphael says in rage.


"Noooooooooo!" Michelangelo wails. "What will we do without pizza?!"


"Don't worry guys!" Donatello starts to say. "I have all the state-of-the-art gadgets in GPS technology. This TMNT GPS Cache Tracker has been tweaked to locate a missing geocache. Granted it still has a few bugs . . ."


"What do you mean a few bugs?!" Leonardo interrupts.


"Well, I mean, the accuracy is still not completely, well, uhh, you know."


"Well . . . what do you mean exactly by 'not completely accurate?' "


"The GPS may jump upwards of like 500 meters but I'm trying to get it to like, you know, a little better."


"What do you mean 500 meters?! Like five hundred and something meters?! Like .5 kilometers?!?!" Raphael starts to angrily say. "We might as well just stay here down in the sewers and play some pizza baskets! We'll have more accuracy with throwing pizza at your face than . . ."


"Silence!" Splinter interrupts as Raphael is picking up a pizza. "You are ninja turtles and you have been with each other since you were born. I have taught you to work together and fight as a whole. You need not to allow anger to consume you. Channel this rage and use it in the martial arts for the betterment of mankind and Geocaching."


"He's right, guys." Leonardo say. "If we expect to bring back our caches, we must work as a team and not bicker back and forth. So are we gonna do this or what?!"


"YES!" The turtles say in unison. "Let's do this thing!"


So Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael set out to find the secret hideout of where Shredder and his Foot Clan are hiding. With their GPS and other gadgets and gizmos in hand they travel methodically and meticulously through the parks, through the streets, through the mountains, checking every DNF log in hopes they may provide a clue to where Shredder's hideout is. Everywhere they looked, it was as if all the life had been sucked out of the city. Every DNF logged showed the despair that cachers were falling into. Without any caches to find, it was no wonder why the town looked so desolate. As they went over unforgiving terrain in search of those missing caches, checking those unnatural pile of rocks or those twist off top things, suddenly, out of nowhere they were met with dozens of Foot Soldiers that seemed to know that the turtles were coming. There must've been some fifty-nine of them! But with the Ninja Turtles armed with their weapons and high skill level in martial arts, the Foot Clan was no match for the Turtles!


"The teamwork makes the dreamwork baby!" yelled Michelangelo in victory.


"That's right, my brothers!" Leonardo says as giving everyone the thumbs up!


"Hey guys! I got something!" Donatello so excitedly begins. "Look!"


"The GPS accuracy is starting to actually work now?!" Raphael skeptically and sarcastically says.


"It is!" Donatello so confidently states. "And it's telling us to go east!"


So the Ninja Turtles set off in hopes of locating the lost treasure of Taoyuan.


"One . . . two . . .one . . .!" the Ninja Turtles start to chant in a military-like fashion as they march onwards, keeping their heads high as they get closer and closer to where Shredder has stashed all those caches.


All the Ninja Turtles so happily continue on their journey and before long they see off in the distance none other than Shredder's lair.


"That's gotta be where Shredder is hiding all the caches!" yells Leonardo.


"Yeah!" Michaelangelo says. "But why do I see absolutely nothing or nobody around? I mean zero. There's nothing!"


The Ninja Turtles fear that they will be lead into a trap so come up with a plan to come make sure victory is theirs and the Shredder and his followers will no longer be a nuance and menace to the GeoCommunity.


"Alright, everyone," Donatello begins, "This is what we're gonna do. . ."


The Ninja Turtles huddle together and discuss how they are going to destroy Shredders Lair and get out all those caches and return them back into Taoyuan.


As they enter through the sewage system they are met with none other than a whole slew of enemies from the past — Bebop and Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Krang, and Tokka and Rahzar — six in total.


The Ninja Turtles tried every karate kick, every elbow punch, every uppercut, and every roundhouse kick to defeat these enemies. And just when the Ninja Turtles thought that they defeated each of these enemies, the Shredder must've had some tricks up his sleeve because after Bebop and Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Krang, and Tokka and Rahzar were all down on the ground defeated, all six of them simultaneously stood up ready for a fight once again!


"Dude!" Michelangelo says in despair. "This is totally outta this world, dudes! What are we supposed to do?"


"I didn't sign up for this!" yells Donatello.


"Don't worry, guys! We can handle this like we've handled it before." says Leonardo convincingly.


"Yes! Let's show these guys what the Ninja Turtles are all about!" exclaims Raphael.


So the Ninja Turtles go at it again, this time unlocking a whole plethora of moves — uppercuts followed by roundhouses followed by elbow punches followed by dropkicks followed by chockslams followed by piledrivers followed by power slams followed by weapon combos and finishing up with the Ninja Turtle Special — a combo of nine moves in total!


After unleashing Ninja Turtle Power like never before, the enemies were all defeated this time for good and now in front of the Ninja Turtles stood the enemy of all enemies — The Shredder.


"So we meet at last, do we, Turtles," the Shredder says threateningly.


"Release the caches or else!" says Leonardo.


"Or else, what?" Shredder says as he hurls himself at the Ninja Turtles knocking them down.


The Ninja Turtles know that it is not going to be an easy fight but they are determined to finish it and show the Geocachers of Taoyuan and all of Taiwan that The Turtles mean business.


"Come on guys!" Leonardo says. "It's time to show Shredder what we are made of!"


"Yes! Let's go release those caches!!!" The rest of the Ninja Turtles say as they look on at Shredder.


The Ninja Turtles know that they are no match for the Shredder and that the Shredder can destroy them all but Donatello came prepared.


"What's that?" Raphael askes in bewilderment.


"Master Splinter gave this to me when we left this morning. It's a spoiler photo!" Donatello whispers.


"No way, dude! Cowabungaaaaa!" Michelangelo says loudly.


<"Shhhhhhhhhh! Don't let Shredder hear you!" Raphael scold Michelango, slapping him across the face.


"Yeah, with this, we know exactly where to look and where to go to release those caches."


"What are we waiting for? Let's go!"


"You guys go while I create a diversion."


So Donatello stays behind to outsmart the Shredder while Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael proceed to the entrance of Shredder's Lair to find where all those caches are hidden.


"Over here, Shredder!" Donatello says mockingly .


"You are gonna be sorry!" Shredder replies as he starts to run towards Donatello.


"Guys quick!" Donatello yells to the other Ninja Turtles as he rolls away from the punches of Shredder.


"Come on guys! Donatello is counting on us!" Leonardo tells the others.


Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael make their way quickly to the spot in the spoiler photo and find the location of where all the caches are hidden. Michelangelo finds the release button and quickly presses it, causing Shredder to let out a loud scream in disappointment. Right after Michelangelo presses the button, Shredder, who was about to send Donatello into another dimension, loses his power and becomes weak, being sent back into his lair to be chained up.


Suddenly, a thick cloud of white smoke appears. The Ninja Turtles see all the caches — Traditionals, Multis, Mysteries, Virtuals — every single cache type return back to its location. The geocaches of Taoyuan are back safe and sound, and the curse of DNFs ends. Geocachers can come out once again and search for the hidden gems of this beautiful city all thanks to the four Ninja Turtles — Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello.
